Please note: The rebate processing system experienced an outage between Oct. 22 and 31. If you submitted a rebate request during that time, you will need to submit it again. Please disregard the message if you have already received your rebate. |
Pool pumps running 6 to 8 hours a day in the summer consume a lot of energy. Earn a rebate up to $350 when you install an ENERGY STAR certified pool pump for a residential in-ground pool or spa and save more than $2,800 in energy costs over its lifetime.
Acquiring your rebate
Please have the following information available in electronic format (saved to your computer) before you start completing the Pool Pump rebate application. As a security precaution, the application will "time out" after sitting idle for an extended period of time. To avoid any inconvenience, you will want to have your electronic documents ready to upload.
- Paid receipt/invoice (proof of purchase) - must be purchased new
- Photo of the installed pool pump showing the ENERGY STAR label
When you're ready, complete and submit the Pool Pump rebate application within 90 days* of purchase date. Once you submit the application, you will receive an enrollment/confirmation number that you can use to access your application. Be sure to write down and save the enrollment/confirmation number. If you have questions, call 813-275-3909 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To access an existing application, simply enter the enrollment/confirmation number you received when you initially submitted your application. This will allow you to make changes and upload any required files.
Attention Energy Planner customers: Some ENERGY STAR Pool Pumps are not compatible with Tampa Electric's Energy Planner program. Please inquire with our energy experts before you purchase and install an ENERGY STAR Pool Pump.
*This new ENERGY STAR Pool Pump rebate program was introduced on Nov. 2, 2020. Pool pumps purchased prior to this date do not qualify for the rebate.
As part of our commitment to ensuring outstanding service, Tampa Electric may contact you to schedule a follow-up inspection after the work is complete.
