Rates, Incentives and Account Management
Saving energy and money is easy with Tampa Electric. We offer a variety of business rate plans, incentives and energy efficiency programs to help your business succeed.
Business Rate Plans:
- Interruptible Program – Customers can earn credits toward their monthly electric bill when they allow Tampa Electric to curtail their power during critical energy-use periods. This program saves about 25% off your total bill.
- Standby Generator Program – Customers receive a monthly bill credit for allowing Tampa Electric to use their standby generator when needed. This program saves about 12% off your total bill.
- Time-Of-Use Program – Customers with a high load factor that can shift much of their electrical usage to certain off-peak hours will be billed at a lower rate. This program discounts your total bill by about 1.5%.
Business Incentives:
- As a valued customer, you may be eligible for an Economic Development Rider if your business employs at least 25 full-time staff and maintains a peak demand of 350 kilowatts for five years.
- Unlock exclusive discounts with our Commercial Industrial Service Rider designed specifically for large customers. Maintain a connected load of 500 kilowatts, and you may be eligible for savings. Plus, we can tailor this rider to fit your unique needs with personalized discounts and terms.

Whether you’re opening a new business or relocating an existing business, Tampa Electric’s experienced and knowledgeable account managers can help you every step of the way. As a large business customer, you’ll have a dedicated account manager to help with all your electric utility needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
