Poor levels of insulation in your attic will let energy escape, costing you money as well as comfort. Before you install insulation, call Tampa Electric at the number below to schedule one of our energy analysts to perform an attic inspection.
Please note: A pre-approval attic inspection is required.
If ceiling insulation is recommended, the analyst will provide you with a rebate certificate that is valid for one year and a list of approved contractors that can perform the installation. The contractor will deduct the rebate from the total amount of the invoice.
Rebate Amount: $0.15 per square foot of insulation installed.
The rebate is available for owner-installed insulation and work performed by a licensed contractor participating in the program.
Acquiring your rebate
If you self-installed your ceiling insulation, please have the following information available before you start completing the Ceiling Insulation rebate application:
- Customer's Tampa Electric account number
The application will prompt you to upload the following information:
- Ceiling insulation certificate
- Paid receipt/invoice (proof of purchase) if self-installed
The information above must be submitted to qualify for the rebate.
When you’re ready, complete and submit the appropriate Ceiling Insulation rebate application within 90 days after installation is complete:
Once you submit the application, you will receive an enrollment/confirmation number that you can use to access your application. Be sure to write down and save the enrollment/confirmation number. If you have questions, call 813-275-3909 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To access an existing application, simply enter the enrollment/confirmation number you received when you initially submitted your application. This will allow you to make changes and upload any required files.
As part of our commitment to ensuring outstanding service, Tampa Electric may contact you to schedule a follow-up inspection after the work is complete.
