Lineworkers are the backbone of our electrical infrastructure. They climb towering poles, work on live wires, and navigate safely through treacherous conditions to ensure that electricity reaches our homes, schools, hospitals and businesses. Whether it's a stormy night or a scorching summer day, lineworkers are on the front lines – responding to outages, repairing damaged lines, and restoring power to our communities.
All that, plus it’s a 24/7 job! Lineworkers are ready to respond to emergencies at a moment's notice. That sometimes means going to other areas of the country to help after a disaster. They often sacrifice time with their families, and their own personal time, to get the lights back on.
